Internet Framework for Websites
Prior to the growth of web projects and tools available on the Internet, we started development of our own framework built on PHP and MySQL to create a fast and easy to use, as well as customizable environment for deploying client websites and custom solutions. Today we utilize the many tools and libraries commercially available, but every now and then we still draw from our past framework.
Web Based Application for Tracking Boat Loans
A custom application was created for brokering boat loans. The application was used to enter and track leads, prepare and create settlements, as well as present performance reports.
Managing Offsite Hardcopy File Storage
A simple web based system enabling office personnel to manage the physical boxes and inserted indexes that have been sent to the warehouse for storage, held in the office, and destroyed. The system tracks the history of each box and index logged, from creation to destruction.
Internet System for Construction Project Bidding
A custom system created on our PHP framework and hosted on one of our LAMP servers. The system enabled contractors to connect and view architectural plans, as well as other supplemental documents and construction “take-offs” for project bidding. The system managed the projects and all associated documents for the project, limiting each contractor's access based on the geographic areas of the project and their area of expertise. The system automatically alerted the contractors to changes in projects as well as when new projects are available.
System for Reporting and Managing Work-In-Progress
Created for completing weekly status reports based on employees work-in-progress (WIP). The system automatically delivers reports to management upon completion. Developed using our PHP framework and Python scripts, the solution was designed to send email alerts to staff to enter their report by the deadline, and if they failed to submit a report then automatically sign them out of the entire network. Signing back into the network forced the offender to complete the report. Once the report was submitted, access to the network was regained and the infringement logged.
CD for Indexing and Searching PDF Journals
A completely self-contained application created to run from a CD inserted into the CD-ROM drive of a Windows PC. The application launched an instance of the Apache web server and served HTML files designed to categorize PDF archives. The application was fully indexed and searchable by running scripts that executed from the CD, which displayed the search results by relevancy of the search criteria entered.
